Michael Stechison: Home
Greetings and welcome to my website.
It has been a busy year. We have been less visible publicly as I have been doing more private work than club work (and I have not done well at keeping the published calendar updated!)
If you are interested in booking me for your event or your club, please check out my EPK at www.sonicbids.com/doctorstech. You may also hear my work at www.myspace.com/doctorstech or www.gigmasters.com/keyboards/DrMichaelTStechison or www.songplacements.com/DoctorStech. You will also find numerous entries on YouTube under my name. Please check out the long samples of me and the Dr. Michael Stechison trio featured on this website as well as some free downloads. If you like what you hear, I hope you will choose to buy either my 2006 or my 2009 CD which should be available in early autumn 2009. There is another one in the works now which should be ready in early 2010.
I AM AVAILABLE TO ENTERTAIN AT YOUR NEXT PRIVATE EVENT including weddings, engagements, private parties. I can be hired as a solo pianist and vocalist or as a trio. We can provide sedate background lounge type music or we can take it up a notch and have you dancing and rocking. Please contact me by leaving a message in the Guestbook, or calling Debbie at 404.522.3330.
I am really glad you came to visit and I sincerely hope it was an inspiring experience. Please check the news/journal section and the calendar dates and drop by to hear me if you can. Please not that as of October 8, 2006, my CD is available on iTunes. Check it out there as well. Enjoy!
If you missed my CD review in the March 2007 issues of Jazziz you can buy one online at www.Jazziz.com. It includes one of my songs on their sampler disc along with Ella Fitzgerald, Sonny Rollins and others. Please take a look at the Atlanta Journal Constitution feature article about my music that was on the cover of the Living Section on August 18, 2008. In addition, there is a feature about me in the June 2010 Atlanta magazine.
I am excited about the new Live at the Red Light Cafe disc. It is much more representative of my club work and features the trio Doctor Stech and Nervous Habit with Matt Bryant on drums and Ray Bivens on bass. About half the tunes have vocals and two of the songs are original compositions.
The 2010 disc that is still in pre-production stages will be all originals most of which have lyrics. It will be a departure from my usual style and a foray more into the singer-songwriter genre.
