Welcome to my website. I am a jazz pianist and vocalist and songwriter. I play either as a solo act; with my trio, Doctor Stech and Nervous Habit; or with my bass player or drummer. My trio members are Reginald Hogan on upright and electric bass; on drums is either Matt Bryant, or Dr. Cheryl Gratton, my wife. In addition, there is a feature about me in the June 2010 Atlanta magazine. I am excited about the new Live at the Red Light Cafe disc. It is much more representative of my club work and features the trio Doctor Stech and Nervous Habit with Matt Bryant on drums and Ray Bivens on bass. About half the tunes have vocals and two of the songs are original compositions. Ray has left since the CD was produced, but Reginald Hogan a very experienced and talented musician is now filling the bass position with both the upright as well as bass guitar. The 2011 disc that is still in pre-production stages will be all originals most of which have lyrics. It will be a departure from my usual style and a foray more into the singer-songwriter genre.
